As your property management team here at Harman, we strive to make your rental experience as seamless and enjoyable as possible. Whether you’re new to renting or have been with us for years, here are some key tips and reminders to help you get the most out of your home.

1. Understanding Your Lease Agreement

Your lease is a legally binding document that outlines your rights and responsibilities as a tenant. Make sure to review it carefully and keep a copy for reference. Key points to note, include:

  • Rent due date and payment methods

  • Maintenance request procedures

  • Pet policies and other restrictions

2. Paying Rent on Time

Timely rent payments help maintain a positive rental history. Consider setting up automatic payments to avoid late fees. If you ever anticipate difficulty paying rent on time, contact us as soon as possible to discuss potential solutions.

3. Maintenance and Repairs

We want to keep your home in great condition! For maintenance repairs, submit maintenance requests through our online portal or contact our office. For after hours emergencies such as water leaks or heating failures etc, contact our emergency maintenance line immediately.

4. Respecting Your Neighbors

Creating a positive community environment benefits everyone. Keep noise levels reasonable, follow parking guidelines, and be considerate of shared spaces.

5. Renter’s Insurance

While we maintain property insurance, it does not cover your personal belongings. Renter’s insurance is affordable and provides protection in case of theft, fire, or accidental damage. It is also a requirement under the lease. Make sure you have it and keep it up to date.

6. Keeping Your Unit in Good Condition

Regular cleaning and minor upkeep can prevent bigger problems down the road. Report any damage or necessary repairs promptly, and follow guidelines for proper trash disposal and pest prevention.

7. Renewal and Moving Out

If your lease is up for renewal, let us know your plans in advance. If you decide to move out, review your lease for notice requirements and ensure your unit is clean and damage-free to maximize your security deposit return.

We’re here to help and answer any questions you may have. Thank you for being a valued resident, and we look forward to continuing to provide you with a great living experience!
